Mel Kanarek, Project and Incubation Director

Mel is a Regional Director at Oxford Innovation and is based at the DMC. Her background is in marketing, communications and business development in the technology and digital sectors. Mel works with the Centre's customers, providing business support, advice and signposting to the wide range of other resources that are available locally. She also works closely with the Centre team to run the Centre's programme of events and to ensure that the Centre provides the highest levels of customer service.

Gareth Scargill, Centre Manager 

Gareth manages the Centre team and is responsible for the overall performance of the Centre. His background is in facility operations and customer recruitment and retention. He is the main point of contact for people and businesses interested in moving into the Centre or holding events here.

Likes: music gigs & festivals, watching Formula One Grand Prix, far away holidays.
Dislikes: heights, mushrooms, chavs.

Craig Dutton, Assistant Centre Manager

Craig is a highly experienced facilities management professional. He is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the building and for ensuring that everything runs smoothly for our customers, so that they can concentrate on running their businesses.

Charlotte Kena, Receptionist

Charlotte began her career with Oxford Innovation in February 2008, previous to this she worked at the Ardsley House Hotel in Barnsley.  She enjoys the busy nature of her role, meeting and greeting and the new challenges that she experiences.  In her spare time she likes to shop and send time with her family.

Likes: shopping. Chinese food, family time.

Dislikes: being cold, violence, anything that lives in her house she doesn’t know about and has 6-8 legs.

Helen Dolman, Receptionist

Helen Dolman works at BDMC as a receptionist.  She joined Oxford Innovation in June 2008 and worked previously as a Manager at a Pre-school.  She enjoys the ever-changing daily activity of an Innovation centre.  She often reads, bakes and watches Sheffield Steelers Ice hockey team in her spare time.
