£80,000 in innovation vouchers offered to small and medium-sized businesses

Small and medium sized businesses are being offered up to £4000 each in innovation vouchers from the South East England Development Agency (SEEDA), to help them access world leading facilities and expertise from the Science and Technology Facilities Council (STFC). Twenty successful businesses will be able to exchange the vouchers for high quality academic resources that will give them the leading edge to become even more competitive.

The vouchers are for companies working in areas considered to be high value such as healthcare, manufacturing, aerospace and micro and nanotechnology. The initiative is part of a wider, ongoing SEEDA innovation voucher scheme designed to help businesses take advantage of the wealth of world leading academic facilities and expertise available in the region. Successful applicants would have access to STFC's scientific facilities including the ISIS neutron source, Diamond Light Source, the Central Laser Facility, the Space Science and Technology Department and the Computation Science and Engineering Department.
